Recycled & Up-cycled Paintings from the tool shed

Having an interest in humanitarian issues, the safe keeping of the earth, issues around waste and recycling, I took urbanism and discovered many discarded materials . So I decided to recycle them into paintings that are various in content of the materials I used, in an experimentation to find the resonance of light and reflections in the surface of the painting.

                                                                                                                       The Golden Dawn

Applique surface made from rags, cement and texture coating, with a mixed gold & bronze surface on canvas 120 x 100 x 3.5cm

Unfortunately this painting did not survive over time due to cracking,

but that was part of the experiment as an artist learning to use different paints & materials
